Plans to save
The bible is our guide to what God wants from and how he wants us to live. In it is found we find life (Jhn6:63). God’s word has past the test of time and has been proven not to fail or to have any fault in them. In fact the prophet said that God’s word does not come back void, it does what it says it does(Is55:11). Jesus was and is God’s word in the flesh, and everyone who does not stumble in him is blessed (Lk7:23). Throughout the times kings were to have the scriptures readily available to them to guide them (Deut17:18-19). We see this in king Ahasuerus who was the king of kings back in the days of Esther the queen. He reigned from India to over 127 provinces. God’s redemption plan is ironed out through the scriptures even after the cross.
Esther 6:1-3
On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.2 And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.3 And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
God still saves! Haman was about to abolish God’s people starting with Mordecai, a chosen leader who was a type of Christ; a savior. And, in our story Haman came to the king to ask if could hang Mordecai and terminate God’s people. But, God watches over his children. Jesus to Peter that Satan had asked to sift him, but that he had prayed for him (Lk22:31-32). The Psalmist says “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you”(ps32:8). God’s portion is with his people! (Deut32:9-10). There is a trend found in the bible; the infallible book, and that is that on every occasion God’s people faced danger he raises a someone for the occasion of redemption (Est4:14).
63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirita] and life.
so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
23 Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
18 When he takes the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law, taken from that of the Levitical priests. 19 It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the Lord his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees
Luke 22:31-32
31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Deuteronomy 32:9
For the Lord’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance.
Esther 4:14
14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
