Born again.

The inner man alters when he/she spends time with God. The attributes of the soul such as, feelings or emotions and power or stamina change after one spends quality time with God. And these changes become more and more noticeable to others as time passes by. People can see for example if you were once a crybaby, that now you do not cry as much. If you were of low endurance at one time, and now you do not give up easily. The things that you experience in God change your life. For newborns in Christ changes are more easily than for those who have years in the church, take for instance Nicodemus. Nicodemus was a teacher of the law, but when he was confronted with the teaching of born again, he was not able to grasp the change (Jh3:3-5). For the impotent man at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, whom God healed using Peter and John his inner man was changed. Both Peter and John were changed when they spent time with Christ, and the religious leaders became conscientious of the change (Acts4:13).

Acts 4:18-21

18 And they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. 21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

They saw how boldness was so displayed on the two apostles and came to the conclusion that the men had been with Christ. And because Peter and John gave them the reference by which the impotent man was made whole, which was the name of Jesus Christ it affirmed their conclusion. Because the name of Jesus Christ is the source of the transforming power by which all of our lives are changed, we cannot shy away from speaking its truth (Phil2:10-11). It is the name by which we are saved, Paul said (Ro10:13). And Peter and John were noted for having an inner strength, a boldness like no other, because they had spent time with Christ. They could not maintain quit having experienced all that they did while with Christ. Jeremiah said it like this, ““I will not make mention of Him, nor speak any more in His name.” But His word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones” (Jer20:9).

The other believers had not experienced such boldness as Peter and John did. When they heard the menacing threat by which the religious regime threatened Peter and John fear came upon them to the point that they cried out to the Lord (Acts4:24).  After their prayer the bible teaches us that the earth shook, and they were all filled with Holy Ghost and with boldness they spoke the word (Acts4:31).  What intimidates us in life can be changed by your experience with Christ.
